Empty Temples Of Temptation

Photo 1

I know her heart had faith in me

In an empty temple of shallow masses

The rain colors the streets

The doors are open

But I can’t see through the smoke

It’s darkened air

Sheltered souls wonder the brick path

With cloaks as their shelter

With the chanting of the future echoes

From the temple

Each lesson is followed by a bell

Each lesson a different souls will tell

Walking in front and behind me

They judge me with every echo of the bell

What was once yours is not forgotten

What could be yours is up to you

Maybe it’s too late

Have you ever heard of fate?

It creeps into your dreams

And teaches you to hate

They circle you

Chanting in the rain

Nothing will be the same

If you give in to pain

Go in the temple

And see the great golden alter

You can create your own death from scratch

If you had her heart

The journey is made

You must protect it

So yours will be saved

The light will shine a new day

Welcome to the desert you have found

Of unspeakable sin and pleasure

Wait here and we’ll get you at sundown

Mans greatest temptation

Has always been revealed here

What is your temptation?

We will find out before the night is done

Just like a portrait of lust

What captures you will set you free

A roar from the west

A black and silver scream

Hear the backwards parade

Sing of erotic themes

Naked bodies rise from the ground

And cloths cover their mouths

Their rose sent tangles it’s way into your breath

You can’t fight fate

It is here

Your heart was mine

From the day you drank me

I’m real, touch me

I will spend my life with you

A kiss of life

A kiss of death

All you have to do is kiss me
